I am 29 years old and have been married for almost five years, by the 29th of February this year, to a very loving and supportive husband (especially when it comes to my hobby). I am an economist by day and a scrapbooker by night. I am a HUGE animal lover, but more specifically a cat lover. I have also recently added the word mom to my list, with our first little boy coming into the world.
I love taking pictures, and I can never take enough, I will always take hundreds of pictures at an event or an outing, or even if we just go to the movies, I have to take a picture and it has to be scrapbooked. I am one of those that people say to “Not another photo”. But in the end, the picture and the memory is all you have left of an event and the memory may fade but the photo will never. I love the transformation that scrapbooking does to a picture. It gives the picture new dimension. No matter if it is the ugliest or prettiest photo, the moment it is placed on the right paper and embellishments, the picture just gets transformed into a masterpiece.
I find it very relaxing to make layout after layout. What inspires me the most are probably my photos!!!!!!!!!! What I scrap on a day will depend on my mood and what I feel like scrapbooking. It will also depend whether I have bought new paper from my favourite ranges as to what I scrap. I am DEFINITELY one of those that firstly, have enough paper at home to open my own shop and secondly, that take pictures to match the paper I have bought.

I am also a huge fan of sketches. These I download from pagemaps.com and sketch support. And without a doubt, I cannot wait for the beginning of the month, to get the new one and to get home and use it!
Magazines are also a great inspiration to me, especially Scrap Affairs and Scrappin&Kie (I always enjoy seeing how the South African market is growing) and then of course, Scrapbook Memories from Australia. I have not missed one issue of either one of these magazines.
My favourite, favourite, favourite product to use has to be paper, I love paper and I can NEVER use enough paper on a layout.
My favourite ranges are Kaisercraft, BoBunny, My Mind’s Eye and Fabscraps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to have the most recent collections from these ranges, no matter what!
I also love using ribbon, Tim Holtz embellishments and of course Prima flowers, they are the best! I sometimes use my cuttlebug for embossing or my cricut for diecutting, and then of course there is also stamping and embossing!
Overall I am a very heartfelt scrapbooker, and no matter what I put my whole heart into making a layout, whether it is for myself, a commissioned album or as a gift!
Thank you once again for this opportunity to apply for a position of your Design Team.
Have a lovely day!
